Over the weekend AEW Full Gear aired live and AEW did an injury angle before the show kicked off where MJF was taken away in an ambulance after being attacked by Bullet Club Gold. MJF later returned to compete in the main event, and even though the ambulance angle was done for a storyline injury it seems that the AEW World Champion suffered a legitimate injury later that night.
WrestlePurists is reporting that MJF hurt his hip during the AEW World Championship match with Jay White at Full Gear over the weekend. According to the report MJF had to have his hip popped back in after the show, and his shoulder was also reportedly banged up.
The good news is that MJF is not expected to miss any television time, but he will be featured in a non-wrestling capacity as he heals up. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful also noted that he heard the same story about MJF’s hip.

Now that MJF has seemingly finished up his feud with Jay White it will be interesting to see where he goes from here as there are a number of wrestlers who have their sights set on MJF’s AEW World Championship.
