For months now Cody Rhodes has been feuding with Brock Lesnar as their heated rivalry kicked off the day after WrestleMania 39. Rhodes and Lesnar have both picked up one victory over another, and they’re currently set to face off in a third match at SummerSlam this week.
It had been rumored that a stipulation would be added to the match, but Fightful Select is reporting that as of today that’s not the case. The report also noted that contrary to the rumors a stipulation was never pitched or heavily considered for the match.
One of the rumors going around was that a dog collar match was pitched for Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar and the idea was shot down. However, sources close to both sides have said that the stipulation was never considered for the match.
The idea of whether or not the match needs a stipulation was discussed, but it was decided that a stipulation wasn’t needed. It was also specifically noted that a dog collar match was never considered for the stipulation.
