Seth Rollins kicked off Monday Night Raw much to the delight of the crowd and he cut a promo talked about Money in the Bank. Rollins talked about how Iyo Sky and Damian Priest won their respective Money in the Bank ladder matches. He also mentioned how he successfully defended the WWE World Heavyweight Championship against Finn Balor, but he was interrupted by Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare stepped up on the apron and he was about to ask the crowd what they wanted to talk about when Brock Lesnar’s music hit. Cody then ran up the ramp and attacked Brock Lesnar who sent Cody into the barricade.
Cody Rhodes and Brock Lesnar brawled into the ring and The American Nightmare hit The Beast Incarnate with the Cody Cutter. Lesnar leaned on the barricade at ringside for a moment before retreating and heading to the backstage area.
Brock Lesnar turned on Cody Rhodes the night after WrestleMania, and Rhodes went on to defeat him in the main event at WWE Backlash in May. Lesnar evened the score when he picked up a victory over Rhodes at Night of Champions. A third match between Lesnar and Rhodes has been expected for SummerSlam with a stipulation rumored for the bout.
