It’s always unfortunate when an injury takes a WWE star out of action and it was recently reported that Braun Strowman had been sidelined. Details regarding the injury were unknown at the time, but Strowman was spotted in Birmingham, AL this week which led to speculation that he could be prepping for surgery.
The former Universal Champion has announced that he did indeed undergo surgery in the form of a level one fusion on his C4 and C5 vertebrae. Braun Strowman posted the following on Instagram confirming the surgery:
“Road to recovery starts now!!!! Level one #fusion on my c4/c5 #vertebrae was in the great hands of #DrCordover at @andrews_sports_medicine was a great experience considering. Thank you to @wwe for always taking the up most care of us. This was very scary to find out about having to have done and they were there every step of the way reassuring that I was going to have the best care possible. This will take a little bit of time to heal from. But I assure you ( in the words of the #Terminator ) I’ll be back!!!! Thank you all in advance for the well wishes.
Much Love
Adam Scherr”
Braun Strowman last competed on the May 1 episode of Monday Night Raw. There’s currently no word on how long he’s expected to be out of action. Stay tuned for more updates on his recovery as they become available.
