A few weeks ago Triple H revealed the new WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt, and after Roman Reigns was drafted to SmackDown it was determined that the belt will be exclusive to Raw.
Even though the belt is exclusive to Raw competitors from both the red and blue brand will have the chance to compete in the tournament to crown a new champion. The tournament kicks off tonight with two triple threat matches and the winners from each match will face each other later on Raw.
WWE has confirmed the following triple threat matches for Raw tonight:
Damian Priest vs. Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura
Finn Balor vs. The Miz vs. Cody Rhodes
Fightful Select is reporting that Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor is listed as the semifinal main event. It was also noted that plans could always change, or the match may have intentionally been listed incorrectly to throw people off. According to the report the Cody Rhodes vs. Finn Balor vs. Miz will be the first match of the night while the Seth Rollins vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Damian Priest match will be third.
