CM Punk turned a lot of heads on Monday night when it was reported that he was backstage at Monday Night Raw at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL. The former WWE Champion reportedly crossed paths with a number of names including Chief Content Officer Triple H.
PWInsider reports that CM Punk was in a common area in full view where anyone who came by could see him and he ran into Triple H. Someone who saw the interaction claimed that Punk and Triple H shook hands. CM Punk asked if it was ok if he visit, and asked Triple H if they could speak for two minutes if he had the time.
Triple H allegedly told CM Punk that he had to make sure it was ok with “the big guy” which was a reference to Vince McMahon. It’s being said that the interaction between CM Punk and Triple H only lasted 1 to 2 minutes if that.
CM Punk then remained in that area and spoke to a number of talents including The Miz. It’s being said that Miz and Punk spoke for some time and cleared up whatever issues were between them from the time period when Punk was appearing on WWE Backstage. Punk was greeted warmly by talents who saw him and remained in the common area never going behind closed doors for any type of secret meeting.
