It’s always a big deal when Brock Lesnar steps into the ring and he recently picked up a big win over Omos at WrestleMania 39. The next night on Raw, Brock Lesnar destroyed Cody Rhodes and all signs point to Rhodes vs. Lesnar taking place at WWE Backlash next month.
For now it seems that Brock is tied up with Cody Rhodes, but it’s never too early to start talking about his next feud. Recently the WRKD Wrestling account reported that there is talk of having Gunther face off against Brock Lesnar this summer. However, it doesn’t seem that there are plans for the match to take place at SummerSlam.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther is not currently planned for SummerSlam, and the match is not expected to take place any time soon. It was noted that plans can change, but if Lesnar is currently scheduled for SummerSlam then that means there’s a plan in place that doesn’t include Gunther at this point in time.
Gunther also had a big showing at WrestleMania as he successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus and Drew McIntyre in a triple threat match. There’s currently no word on what’s next for The Ring General. Stay tuned for updates.
