Bray Wyatt has been the talk of the wrestling world since he returned to WWE last year and so far he’s only wrestled one match on TV since making his comeback. Wyatt defeated LA Knight in the first ever Pitch Black match at the Royal Rumble then he set his sights on Bobby Lashley.
In recent weeks WWE has been building up a Bray Wyatt vs. Bobby Lashley match for WrestleMania 39, but it was recently reported that Bray Wyatt has been sidelined due to a physical issue. According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Bray Wyatt’s match with Bobby Lashley was still on as of a few days ago.
“Wyatt hasn’t been around since 2/24 due to an illness. The impression we were given was that the match was still on a few days ago but that has not been confirmed later in the week.”
There’s currently no word on when Bray Wyatt could be returning to TV, but if WWE is indeed moving forward with plans for a Wyatt vs. Lashley match at WrestleMania then it will be interesting to see how it’s built up in the weeks to come. Following reports of Bray Wyatt being sidelined Bobby Lashley took to Twitter to say that he doesn’t care who he faces at WrestleMania and a former WWE star offered to step up and take Bray’s place.
