We’re only a few weeks away from WrestleMania 39 which means we’re only a few weeks away from the annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony. On Friday WWE announced the first inductee for the 2023 class and it will be none other than former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rey Mysterio.
The Los Angeles Times first reported that Rey Mysterio will be inducted by Konnan. It was also noted by Dave Meltzer that Mysterio requested to have Konnan induct him and WWE approved his request. Konnan was reportedly Mysterio’s only choice for an inductor.
Konnan will be inducting Rey into the Hall of Fame. Rey asked for him and the company approved it. As noted last night, to me it was the only choice.
