The wrestling world has been talking a lot about Kenny Omega recently as it was reported that WWE is interested in signing him. However, it seems that Omega will be with AEW for a while longer.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Kenny Omega’s AEW contract was set to expire at the end of January as he signed a four year deal with the company on February 1, 2019. However, Kenny’s contract allows the company to extend his deal if time is missed due to injury and that’s what has happened. The extended time on Kenny Omega’s contract hasn’t been finalized, but he was out nine months so AEW will be able to keep him under contract until November.

The feeling is that Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks have a good shot at sticking together. Barry Bloom has been Kenny Omega’s agent since late 2018 and he is expected to handle a deal for The Young Bucks at the end of the year. The Young Bucks’ deal with AEW is up at the end of the year and it’s expected that both WWE and AEW will make them offers for great money.

Japan may also be an option for Kenny Omega, but it was noted that if he has any interest in going to WWE then he might miss the window when it comes to being a top guy if he waits a few more years. If Kenny Omega signs with WWE then he likely wouldn’t be able to work in Japan unless WWE wanted him bad enough to the point where they were willing to make an exception.

Stay tuned for more updates on Kenny Omega’s AEW status as they become available.
