Royal Rumble weekend is almost here and the stars of WWE will be fighting for the chance to main event WrestleMania. So far there are plenty of open spots in the Royal Rumble matches, but it seems that a former SmackDown Women’s Champion is unlikely to make an appearance at the event.
Dave Meltzer recently addressed Natalya’s status for the Royal Rumble on Wrestling Observer Radio and he noted that Natalya is still hurt and it’s not known if she will be ready in time for the Royal Rumble on Saturday.
Natalya has been out of action for months now due to a nose injury. WWE wrote Natalya off TV following an attack from Shayna Baszler. Back in November she confirmed on Twitter that her dislocated nose was moved back to the center of her face.
So far WWE has confirmed Liv Morgan, Candice LeRae, Rhea Ripley, Raquel Rodriguez, Shayna Baszler, Zelina Vega and Emma for the women’s Royal Rumble match. Stay tuned for more updates on the Royal Rumble as they become available.
