Bobby Lashley and Brock Lesnar have been locked in a heated rivalry for some time now and they recently clashed at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia.
Lashley dominated most of the match, but in the end it was Brock Lesnar who picked up the win after Lesnar pinned Lashley’s shoulders to the mat while Lashley applied the Hurt Lock. Lashley and Lesnar are now one and one which seems to leave the door wide open for a third match.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that the plan with the Crown Jewel match was to push that Lesnar “got his a** kicked” and it was a lucky win for Lashley. After the match Lashley also applied the Hurt Lock to Lesnar so the idea moving forward is for Bobby Lashley to be the heel in the feud.
Originally WWE planned for a third Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley match to take place at the Day 1 premium live event, but that show has been canceled. There’s currently no word on when a third match could take place. Stay tuned for updates.
