WWE has parted ways with a number of Superstars over the last few years and back in July former Divas Champion Paige’s contract expired. Paige has been a free agent for three months now and it sounds like there’s some interest from AEW.
Fightful Select reports that there had at least been some conversations between Paige and AEW over the summer. There wasn’t much in the way of details revealed beyond that, but one person stated that they believe the new WWE regime would also be interested in bringing Paige back.
It’s being said that the conversations between Paige and All Elite Wrestling didn’t result in anything at that time, but it’s possible that the situation may have changed since then.
Paige has been retired for years now due to a career ending injury she suffered in December of 2017. Over the summer Paige noted that she’s not cleared yet, but also added that she feels healthy enough to compete. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
