The wrestling landscape has certainly changed quite a bit over the last few years thanks to the emergence of All Elite Wrestling, and everyone seems to have an opinion on whether or not AEW should be considered competition for WWE.

During a recent appearance on the MMA Hour with Ariel Helwani the Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch explained that she watches “everything” and she stated that she thinks competition is great for the business. When asked if she views AEW as competition she referred to the promotion as an alternative.

“I consider them an alternative, I think that’s the best way to put it. I consider them the alternative. Their product is different from our product and so we offer a different product than they do.”

Lynch was also open about watching AEW, and she explained why it’s important for her to keep in touch with what other talents in the industry are doing.

“Of course [she watches AEW]. I think it’s important and if you love this you try to be in tune with everything that’s happening because then you know what people are doing or people are not doing.”

“So it’s one of those things where we’re all wrestlers, we all love the sport and so sometimes we can come up with the same ideas at the same time so it’s important to know well is somebody doing this, is somebody doing that, how do I be different in this giant sea of content? Because there is a lot of wrestling on TV right now.”

Becky Lynch will face Charlotte Flair at the Survivor Series pay-per-view on Sunday, November 21. Stay tuned for updates.
