Last year Zelina Vega was released from her WWE contract, and fans were sad to see her go. During her time away from WWE it was rumored that she could be returning to the company, and last week she returned to the ring when she faced Liv Morgan on Friday Night SmackDown.
According to Fightful Select, Zelina Vega has been listed on the internal roster sheet for almost a month now. It was also noted that Vega is listed as a “SmackDown heel.”
Last month Zelina Vega’s husband, Aleister Black, was released from WWE, and it’s being reported that Black was being released while Vega was in the process of making her return. However, Aleister Black’s name is not listed on the internal roster.
A source also noted that they hadn’t heard of anyone working a Twitch deal into their new contracts, and it’s not clear if that subject was brought up while Vega was negotiating her contract. Several influential names reportedly pushed for WWE to bring Zelina Vega back.
