For years Jon Moxley was one of WWE’s top Superstars, but in 2019 he decided to part ways with the company after his contract expired. Moxley went on to work for AEW and NJPW, but when Mox suffered an injury he was offered support from WWE.
During a recent appearance on Oral Sessions with Renee Paquette, former WWE star Cassie Lee (Peyton Royce) noted that her husband, AEW star Shawn Spears was allowed backstage at WrestleMania 35 even though he was no longer with the company.
Renee Paquette responded by revealing that Triple H pulled her aside and offered to help her husband Jon Moxley when he was dealing with an injury.
“Even when Jon left, there was times that Hunter [Triple H] pulled me aside because Jon was injured when he came back from New Japan. Hunter kept checking in to make sure that Jon was okay. If he needed anything, they [WWE] would have been able to help him in any kind of capacity.
“So it was nice to know that that olive branch was still extended and it wasn’t that heat-seeking thing that everybody thinks that it is. We’ve all spent so much time together and nothing bad went down.”
Following Jon Moxley’s departure Renee Paquette continued to work for WWE before finishing up with the company at the SummerSlam pay-per-view in August of 2020.
The couple recently welcomed their first child into the world.
