Earlier this week WWE released a number of NXT talents, including Velveteen Dream who was released on Thursday afternoon. Dream has was accused of indecent behavior last year, and he last appeared on NXT back in December when he faced Adam Cole.
It was reported recently on Wrestling Observer Live that Velveteen Dream had friends in WWE who were “very, very” high up in the company. It’s also being reported that some people felt uncomfortable about the idea of talking to management about Velveteen Dream’s behavior because they knew that he was close with management.
There was reportedly talk of Dream having behavioral issues during his time in NXT, and when he went to other promotions like EVOLVE.
Velveteen Dream was backstage at Raw earlier this month, but was not scheduled to appear on the TV broadcast. He was said to have been training at the WWE Performance Center as of last week.
Dream’s non compete clause ends next month and he will be free to sign with another wrestling promotion on June 19th. Stay tuned for updates.
