WrestleMania 37 has come and gone, and this year Bobby Lashley successfully defended his WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre on the Grandest Stage of Them All.
It was recently determined that Drew McIntyre will be challenging Lashley for the belt once again at WrestleMania Backlash, and this week on Raw Braun Strowman was added to the match to make it a triple threat.
Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre faced off in the main event, and at one point MVP and Bobby Lashley interfered. Drew McIntyre took advantage of the distraction by hitting Strowman with the Future Shock, and it looked like he was about to hit the Claymore, but T-Bar and Mace distracted him.
Strowman then hit McIntyre with a running powerslam to pick up the win and earn a title shot at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday, May 16.
