It’s been years since CM Punk has wrestled a match, and there’s currently no indication that he’s ever going to wrestle again. John Cena was once WWE’s top star, but nowadays he rarely wrestles.
Even though Punk and Cena aren’t active in the ring nowadays, there was once a point when their rivalry was featured prominently on WWE programming.
Their WWE Championship match at Money in the Bank 2011 is something that fans still talk about to this day, and Punk recently commented on the anniversary of the match when he posted the following:
“I did a thing nine years ago. Couldn’t have done it without @JohnCena, @WWEArmstrong and most importantly the fans. That crowd, that atmosphere is something I’ll never forget. Thank you all. #MITB”

John Cena also reflected on the match, and he thanked CM Punk when he responded with the following:
“I bet on myself that night, the usual amount. Not a smart wager choosing the guy who can’t wrestle over the best in the world, but I’d like to think we all won that night. Thank you for allowing me to be part of something so many were entertained by.”
