For years now the WWE 2K series has given fans an annual release to look forward to, but it was confirmed on WWE’s first quarter earnings call this week that WWE 2K21 has been cancelled.
Fans won’t be getting a new WWE 2K game this year, but it looks like an update on the series is coming sooner than later.
The official WWE Games Twitter account confirmed that they will be delivering “some exciting news” on Monday at 7:00 a.m. PT.

As we previously reported, former WWE games writer James Leeper recently posted a video claiming that 2K will be releasing a different kind of WWE game this year with a different kind of publisher.
