Jake Roberts made his AEW debut on last week’s episode of Dynamite, and the WWE Hall of Famer cut a cryptic promo on Cody Rhodes where he hyped up his client, but Jake didn’t reveal his client’s identity.
This week Cody Rhodes kicked off Dynamite when he faced off against Ortiz in a singles match, and Jake “The Snake” Roberts made his way through the crowd with new AEW signee Lance Archer by his side.
Jake “The Snake” Roberts and Lance Archer sat in the crowd and watched the match closely.
At one point Cody was battling on the outside, and Lance Archer started to step over the rail, but Jake Roberts talked him out of it.
The cameras then showed Jake and Lance leaving through the crowd.
Cody made Ortiz tap out to win the match, and after the bout Santana attacked him but The Elite and Arn Anderson made the save.
