All Elite Wrestling has given wrestlers a new platform to show off their skills, and Darby Allin seems to be catching the attention of wrestling fans all around the world.
Allin has been getting big opportunities in AEW, and he recently challenged Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship.
AEW wasn’t the only company that wanted to work with Darby Allin, as he recently explained to Uproxx why he turned down an offer from WWE.
“There’s a million guys there who are never going to see the light of day. It’s not worth it. So I was like, ‘I’m not even interested.’ I’m not the type of guy who wants to sit on the sidelines and say, ‘Gee, I’m just happy to be in WWE.’ I don’t give a f*ck.”
He then went on to say that he’s looking to make films, and plans to leave wrestling “sooner than later.”
“My whole thing is I want to get out of wrestling sooner than later and go into film full time and direct my films that I’ve always wanted to direct, but now I’ve got more eyes on me, so they’ll be like, ‘Oh shit, it’s Darby and he’s making films. Let’s check it out.’ Even if they don’t know what the f*ck it’s about, they’re still going to check it out, you know what I mean?”
Allin also said he has “no idea” how long he will continue to wrestle, and added, “I’ll be here as long as I feel like I can be creative and be myself. The moment I stop feeling like myself I mentally check out. Like I said, I’m totally fine living in my car. I don’t give a f*ck. I’m not playing anybody’s games.”
