WWE’s roster is better than it’s been in years. They’ve got so many great superstars that are already established as well as superstars that are working to establish themselves. As good as the roster is at the moment there’s still a few superstars we wish had never left and you can find out who we’re referring to below.

#5 – Shelton Benjamin

We’ve probably said it a million times here on this site but when it comes to the WWE roster we want to see Shelton Benjamin back on it. Shelton had a lot of pressure on him to become a top WWE superstar and most of the time he lived up to that pressure but for some reason he just never got to the next level. Still, it was no reason for him and WWE to part ways with each other. Regardless of where Shelton Benjamin was on the card he made every show better and his match was always one of the best matches of the night.

#4 – Carlito

If we’ve said we want to see Shelton Benjamin back in the WWE a million times then we’ve probably said the same about Carlito at least 2 million times. Carlito much like Shelton is just super talented and extremely athletic. He’s also got charisma to boot and can have a good match with anybody. The rumor is that the door is always open for Carlito to return. He’s said himself that he’s just too lazy to do it and well, we can respect that. Still, we hope he gives it one more run before the door closes.

#3 – John Morrison

John Morrison seems to be doing pretty well for himself since parting ways with WWE. He’s still wrestling frequently on the independent scene and he also does quite a bit of acting. We’re happy he’s found success but it’s hard not to feel like there are so many great matches John could be having in WWE right now. WWE has the best roster its had in years and John’s style was always a lot of fun to watch. If given a solid 15 to 20 minutes in a match with a guy like Seth Rollins he could put on a modern classic. He hasn’t ever ruled out a return so we won’t either.

#2 – Jeff Hardy

[youtube_sc url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xx-2PcAzTIM”]

We understand why Jeff walked away from WWE. The schedule is tough and the lifestyle is tough as well. TNA offers him a decent schedule that’s much better for his body and he’s putting on great matches there. Still, despite the fact that he’s doing great work in TNA it’s hard not to feel like WWE is home for Jeff Hardy. The name Jeff Hardy will always be synonymous with WWE and it was tough to see him leave because he had really just become a full time main event player a few months before his departure. Jeff Hardy adds a lot of name value to the WWE brand, he also sells a lot of merchandise and to top it all off he’s been well behaved these past few years. Anyone would be stupid to think WWE doesn’t want Jeff Hardy back. Seeing as how WWE is a lot more willing to give wrestlers part time schedules one should never say never to a Jeff Hardy return.

#1 – Kurt Angle

[youtube_sc url=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jx0h45jm9Ts”]

We will have to say the same thing about Kurt Angle that we said about Jeff. He’s also doing great work in TNA and putting on stellar matches but it just feels like Kurt belongs in WWE. Kurt hasn’t been shy about saying that a WWE return has been on his mind these past few years. Kurt’s TNA contract is done in a few months and at that time he will have to decide if he wants to stay with TNA or return to WWE. He recently said in an interview that whoever he signs his next contract with is most likely the company he will also retire with. Let’s hope it’s WWE.
