Rey Mysterio is currently in a dispute with AAA and he hasn’t made an appearance for the company all year. He appears to be done with the company. AAA is reportedly behind on paying their talent and Rey isn’t the only one having issues.
There have been some rumors going around the Internet recently regarding a possible WWE return for Rey Mysterio. Konnan recently said on his podcast that Rey may be interested in returning to WWE and according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there could be something more than speculation to his claim.
It’s also being reported that the problems Rey Mysterio is having with AAA may lead to him getting out of his deal with Lucha Underground. Rey is currently having issues with money and creative control which are two things that motivated Alberto Del Rio to return WWE.
If Mysterio does return to the company it would most likely be part time.
