Between Raw, SmackDown, NXT and NXT UK the WWE roster is loaded with talent at the moment, but there are quite a few wrestlers who are seemingly lost in the shuffle.
Last year Buddy Murphy found himself working as one of the central figures in the Seth Rollins vs. Mysterio family feud, but after the storyline was dropped Murphy fell down the card.
Recently the former Cruiserweight Champion tried to reunite with Seth Rollins on SmackDown, which apparently means he’s a heel again, but even that angle was given no explanation.
Murphy tried to give some sort of explanation when he posted a comment about the Mysterio family on social media, but he was reportedly ordered to delete the comment.
It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Murphy is clearly frustrated by his situation now that the storyline with the Mysterios has ended.
It was also noted that the two quick TV matches with Cesaro were done to establish him as a heel, but beyond those two matches he’s become a “face in the crowd.”
