Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with on Monday Night Raw, and their alliance has even helped to propel Ziggler to another run with the Intercontinental Championship.
Dave Meltzer recently noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that he expects WWE to protect Drew McIntyre moving forward, which could be why McIntyre was put in a tag team with Dolph Ziggler.
Even though McIntyre is currently working in a tag team with Ziggler, there’s speculation that they will eventually break up and their feud will lead to a main event run for Drew.
Drew McIntyre was dubbed “The Chosen One” when he first made his WWE debut and Vince McMahon called him a future World Champion, but Drew has yet to win the big one on the main roster.
It was reported a few months ago that Vince McMahon and Triple H are high on McIntyre, and that Triple H has been heavily involved with Drew’s work.
