Rich Swann and Brian Kendrick main evented the first episode of 205 Live, and they gave the fans something to remember. The end of the match came when Rich Swann hit Brian Kendrick with three spinning heel kicks in a row and then went for the pin.
After the match Rich Swann started to get emotional as the crowd chanted, “You deserve it!” Swann said that there’s one woman he wants to thank, and he thanked his mother. He said his mother is here in spirit, and he dedicated his title win to her.
Brian Kendrick was also interviewed after the match, and he said that 205 Live was created for him, and he didn’t lose, he was robbed. Kendrick told Phillips not to get used to seeing Rich Swann with the title, because it’s not going to last long.
