Brock Lesnar defeated Goldberg to win the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 33, and he’s been in possession of the title ever since. Lesnar defended the title against Samoa Joe at Great Balls of Fire, and he also defended the belt at SummerSlam in a fatal 4-way match against Joe, Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman. Both times Brock managed to retain the title, but at SummerSlam Braun Strowman made himself famous when he delivered a beating to The Beast Incarnate.

Fans have been hoping to see Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar collide in a one on one match for a while now, and Sunday night it finally happened when Strowman challenged Lesnar for the Universal Championship in the main event of No Mercy.

Strowman dominated Brock Lesnar early on when he hit him with a chokeslam and a running powerslam, but Brock kicked out.

Eventually Brock got the upper hand and locked in the Kimura, but Braun got to the ropes. Lesnar took Strowman to Suplex City, and he tried to put him up for the F5, but Braun countered with a running powerslam which he unfortunately didn’t capitalize on it by covering Lesnar. He hit Brock with another running powerslam, but he didn’t cover Lesnar quick enough and Brock kicked out.

Brock then stood up, hit Strowman with the F5 and won the match.

The Beast Incarnate conquered the Monster Among Men at No Mercy, and everyone has an opinion on the match. Some people liked it while others hated it. You can check out some of the reactions below.
