There are only so many spots at the top of WWE, and in order to claim one you need to be able to impress Vince McMahon. However, it seems that Vince McMahon may be losing interest in former NXT Champion Keith Lee.
Sportskeeda is reporting that Vince McMahon, “isn’t onboard the Keith Lee train like he was just eight weeks ago.” However, a source also noted that, “Vince’s likes and dislikes are apt to change like weather forecasts.”
Keith Lee challenged Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship during the Legends Night edition of Monday Night Raw this week, and McIntyre retained. After the match Goldberg returned and challenged McIntyre to a title match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
SK is also reporting that WWE was strongly considering the idea of having Keith Lee win the Royal Rumble match, but Vince McMahon threw a wrench in the plans.
It’s being said that there was a fear that a Royal Rumble win would expose Keith Lee as not being ready for the main roster, especially if he started earlier in the match.
