Zack Ryder was a WWE veteran up until a few weeks ago, as the company released quite a few talents, and Ryder ended up getting cut.
Luckily the former Intercontinental Champion seems to be holding his head up high as he looks towards the future. Ryder’s fiance, Chelsea Green is still with WWE, and she’s currently part of the NXT brand.
Ryder and Green seem happy together, and during a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet Zack explained how they ended up together.
According to Zack Ryder when Cody Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes were working with Impact Wrestling they met up for dinner and suggested that Ryder should reach out to Chelsea.
“You’re single. Why don’t you guys…I’m like…I don’t want to date a wrestler. Been there, done that, doesn’t work out. No way. And then they said, ‘she likes Disney.’ Oh, she likes Disney…ok. So, I did the typical slide into the DMs and I think the first thing was, you like Disney. We went on a date, like two weeks later. She tried avoiding me but I finally got through.”
It seems like it was a solid suggestion, as everything worked out for the best.
