XFL Reportedly Negotiating TV Deals With Two Major Networks

In 2018, Vince McMahon announced that the XFL will be resurrected in 2020, and the league recently announced which cities will be hosting teams.

Now everyone’s waiting to see what the next big XFL related announcement will be, and which network the league’s games will end up airing on.

According to the Sports Business Journal, the XFL is currently in deep discussions for a pair of deals with both FOX and ESPN regarding broadcasts for the 2020 season.

The report also notes that if the ESPN deal gets signed, games will also air on ABC, but not on ESPN’s streaming service ESPN+. With the FOX deal games would also air on FS1, and two thirds of the games are expected to air on TV.

An official announcement regarding broadcast rights for the XFL could be made as early as next week.
