The last few weeks have been rough for Vince McMahon’s businesses, as the XFL folded and filed for bankruptcy, and WWE also had to make major budget cuts due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Now TMZ is reporting that XFL Commissioner and CEO Oliver Luck has filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon for wrongful termination.
In the lawsuit Luck claims that he received a letter spelling out the case against him on April 9, and that the allegations are “pure BS” and he denies any wrongdoing.
Oliver Luck says that by running the league since January of 2018 he fulfilled his obligation and has been “wrongfully terminated.”
It’s also being reported that details in the lawsuit were redacted, likely due to a confidentiality agreement Luck signed with the XFL.
Luck is reportedly suing Vince McMahon personally in an attempt to get Vince to pay out a guaranteed portion of his contract. It’s not clear at this point in time how much Vince is being sued for.
