Erick Rowan was forced out of action last year when he suffered a rotator cuff injury that required surgery. Luke Harper was then brought into his place and has added something extra to the current Wyatt Family storyline.
Rowan was only set to be out for six months when he underwent surgery back in October, which means that he should be set to return to WWE any day now.
It was thought that Rowan could be added to the current Wyatt Family feud that will culminate in the main event at WrestleMania 33 in just over two weeks time, especially since many fans linked Rowan’s twitter video from last summer to Sister Abigail’s body and thought that he had saved her before Randy Orton decided to burn down the compound.
These plans have obviously changed and according to a report by SportsKeeda, Rowan is not considered to be a key part of the storyline anymore and WWE officials are instead set to focus the feud on just Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton moving forward, with Luke Harper also fading into the background as the build up to WrestleMania reaches its climax.
Luke Harper was set to debut on Raw before Erick Rowan’s injury last year, so it will be interesting to see if Rowan takes Harper’s place on Raw, even though he has more recently been spotted backstage at SmackDown Live events.
