WWE’s Plan For King And Queen Of The Ring Matches That Were Pulled From Raw

This week the King and Queen of the Ring tournament kicked off on Monday Night Raw, but two of the first round matches that WWE originally advertised were pulled from the show.

Neither Rey Mysterio vs. Kofi Kingston nor Zelina Vega vs. Shayna Baszler aired on Raw as WWE made the decision to move the matches to live events that will take place this weekend, which was disappointing news for fans who wanted to watch the matches on television.

Fightful Select reports that as of right now the plan is for WWE to air highlights from the matches on next week’s Raw and possibly on social media as well. However, those plans could always be adjusted.

The finals for the King and Queen of the Ring tournament will take place during the King and Queen of the Ring premium live event which will emanate from the Jeddah Super Dome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 25.

Stay tuned for updates.
