It seemed that WWE signings slowed down earlier this year after it was announced that Endeavor would acquire the company. However, things have changed following the TKO merger and WWE appears to be in recruitment mode once again.
PWInsider is reporting that Copeland Barbee has signed a deal with WWE. It was noted that Barbee is 23 years old and had a tryout with WWE earlier this year. He wrestled in the heavyweight division at the Queens University of Charlotte.
From top to bottom it seems that WWE is looking to secure talent at the moment. Several big names such as Charlotte Flair, Dominik Mysterio and Rey Mysterio have reportedly signed new contracts with the company in recent months.
Other big names such as Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch all have contracts that are set to expire in 2024, so it will be interesting to see how things play out in the months to come.
Stay tuned for updates.
