WWE Writer Issues Statement Saying He Quit WWE

It was recently reported that WWE writer Robert Evans was fired over the weekend due to an issue with a Hall of Fame segment.

The story making the rounds is that Evans was let go after Vince McMahon’s name was mentioned during a Hall of Fame speech, but now PWInsider has posted an update saying that it was more of a “you can’t fire me, I quit” type of scenario.

When it became obvious that Evans was going to be fired, he reportedly quit at the WWE Hall of Fame before he could be fired.

Robert Evans took to Twitter recently and posted the following statement saying “I quit” along with his grocery list:
