WWE Working On Plans For A WWE Network Show That Would Focus On Lighter Wrestlers

WWE officials are currently discussing the idea of creating a WWE Network show that would focus on on wrestlers of a lighter weight according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

It’s said that plans could change and that the idea could always be completely scrapped, but one idea that’s being discussed is to setup a tournament that would run for 10 episodes. The tournament would feature wrestlers that haven’t competed in WWE or NXT and weigh less than 205 pounds. Another scenario that was brought up was the idea of doing a Japanese style tournament.

Other ideas that were thrown out were to run a show featuring all indie wrestlers and WWE would sign the ones that were able to get over. Another idea was to mix in popular indie talents with WWE developmental talents and use the show as a way for Manny Andradre (La Sombra) to make his big debut.
