The tournament which will decide the first ever WWE United Kingdom Champion is scheduled to kick off today. The first round of the tournament will begin airing on the WWE network at 3 PM Eastern time. The reason for such an early start time for those in the United States is because it will start at 8 PM for fans in the United Kingdom.
The tournament is surely going to be one worth watching because participants have been hand-picked from the top level independent talent throughout the United Kingdom. These men only have one chance to make a good first impression and they want to grab that brass ring while it is in front of them.
Emanating from the Express Ballroom in Blackshire, Lancashire England this tournament will consist of participants who have trained with and competed against current top WWE superstars. Nigel McGuinness is also slated to make his WWE debut as part of the commentary team alongside Michael Cole.
The 16 man two day tournament will conclude tomorrow, and the endgame of this tournament is to start a weekly WWE network exclusive professional wrestling show based in the United Kingdom.
