WWE has been making big moves recently as SmackDown shifted from FOX to USA Network and next month NXT will be moving to the CW. WWE lined up a big venue for the October 1st premiere at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL and the following episode on October 8th was originally announced for the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is now reporting that the October 8th NXT TV taping has been moved to The Factory at The District in Chesterfield, MO due to disappointing ticket sales.

According to the report WWE had 2,196 tickets out in a venue that could hold 14,000. The new venue can hold about 2,300 tickets, but is currently set up for 1,715 with 1,129 tickets out for the show. WWE is offering refunds due to the change of location.

It’s being said that WWE didn’t want to run a building that would be heavily tarped off, and the smaller venue will likely make for a better atmosphere on TV.

Randy Orton will be making a special appearance on the October 8th episode of NXT and it was confirmed this week that he will be facing off against Je’Von Evans during the show.

Stay tuned for updates.
