WrestleMania season is here and the big show is only a month away. Every fan knows that WrestleMania week is packed with big events such as the Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Lex Luger will be going into the Hall of Fame this year and everyone is wondering who might induct the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion.
Fightful Select reports that Lex Luger and those close to him informed WWE that Sting was the preferred choice to induct him into the Hall of Fame. WWE is planning to make overtures to get Sting to appear at the Hall of Fame induction ceremony, if they haven’t already.
Even though Sting retired from in-ring competition he is still part of All Elite Wrestling and is reportedly signed to a Legends-esque deal with the company.
It’s not clear at this point in time if AEW would have to sign off on a Hall of Fame appearance for Sting, but it’s being said that Sting has told people he probably wouldn’t be able to do it because of his All Elite Wrestling deal. Sting is planned to be in Las Vegas during WrestleMania week.
The WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony will take place on Friday, April 18 and so far Triple H, Michelle McCool and Triple H have been confirmed for the 2025 class.
Stay tuned for updates.
