WrestleMania is often referred to as the Grandest Stage of Them All and throughout the years fans have seen some major dream matches take place at the event. Kurt Angle has had his fair share of WrestleMania moments, but there’s one big match he wanted that didn’t happen.
Kurt Angle recently participated in a virtual signing for K&S WrestleFest and he revealed that he wanted to face Bret Hart at WrestleMania, but due to Hart’s health issues it just wasn’t possible. Angle didn’t specifically mention which WrestleMania he hoped to face Bret Hart at.
“I wanted to get him at Mania, but by then with his stroke and him getting a concussion and everything it just wasn’t going to work,” Angle said.
Bret Hart has said in the past that he regrets the fact that he wasn’t able to wrestle Kurt Angle in his prime. Hart’s career unfortunately came to an end far too early due to a concussion he suffered in 1999 during a match with Goldberg.
