WWE Title To Be Defended In A Triple Threat At WrestleMania? IC Title Plans

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania. Dave Meltzer reported weeks ago that Randy Orton would win the Royal Rumble and Bray Wyatt would take the strap at Elimination Chamber to set up a match between the two in Orlando. Well, both of those things happened without a hitch. However, there are now rumblings that there could very well be another name added to that Mania match.

Orton recently proclaimed that he will not be facing his master, Wyatt at Mania. According to the Official WWE Book of Rules, the WWE Championship Match should actually go to Roman Reigns because he was the last eliminated from the Royal Rumble, but what’s continuity in WWE anyway?

As previously reported, there will be a Battle Royal next week to determine Wyatt’s challenger at Mania. It was noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Randy Orton is indeed still slated to be facing Wyatt at WrestleMania and WWE is pulling a “sleight-of-hand story line and teasing it won’t happen.”

However, there are others who can see that the groundwork is being laid for Luke Harper to possibly join the match and make it a triple threat. This would have a lot of the same feeling as it did during the build-up for WrestleMania XXX when they added Daniel Bryan to the already booked Batista vs. Orton main event. However, Bryan was more over than Harper was after turning on Wyatt; this new triple threat incarnation would have way more facial hair involved as well.

It’s also being reported that Baron Corbin is scheduled to build toward a WrestleMania match against Dean Ambrose for the Lunatic Fringe’s Intercontinental Title.

The groundwork has been plainly laid out for this from last week’s Smackdown Live which saw Dean searching backstage for Corbin, and The Lone Wolf apparently found Ambrose first because he applied a significant beat-down to the former Jon Moxley before throwing him through a table in the “production area” which sent sparks flying. While we’re on the subject, WWE really needs to watch their equipment because sparks aren’t supposed to fly from electronics that easily.

AJ Styles has come a long way since making his WWE debut. He’s a former WWE Champion and he’s feuded with big names such as Roman Reigns and John Cena, but is AJ being buried? Some people out there seem to think so and we’re talking about it on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio which you can listen to below or on iTunes by clicking here.
