WWE Teasing A Change For The Authority Figures On SmackDown Live

The Raw after WrestleMania is always one of the most anticipated shows of the year and most fans seem to agree that the show delivered last night. Tonight the stars of SmackDown Live will get their chance to shine, and it looks like big changes could be coming for the authority figures on the show.

In the official preview for this week’s episode of SmackDown Live, the future of the leadership is one of the big talking points. The preview raises questions regarding whether or not Shane McMahon will be returning from his leave of absence, and whether or not Daniel Bryan will want to continue being GM now that he’s been cleared. The following was posted on WWE.com:

“Now that the two have vanquished Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn from SmackDown LIVE for good following their win over The “Yep!” Movement at WrestleMania, what’s next for the Commissioner and General Manager? Will Shane officially return from his leave of absence and what impact will his health issues have on his decision? Will Daniel Bryan continue to split time between the ring and the office? And how will the Superstar Shake-up impact these decisions?”

Bryan and Shane have been in charge of SmackDown Live ever since the brand split, so it could be argued that a change is long overdue for the blue brand.

As of this writing no matches have been announced, but given that tonight’s show is the SmackDown after WrestleMania, it’s expected that we’ll be seeing a few NXT stars get called up.

Superstars being advertised for tonight’s show include AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Daniel Bryan, Carmella, Randy Orton, Charlotte Flair, Baron Corbin, Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso, Big E, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and more.
