The Royal Rumble aired on Saturday night, and both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches featured some interesting moments. However, it seems that some key figures were missing from the show.
Fightful Select reports that Fit Finlay was brought in to produce the women’s Royal Rumble. It’s also being reported that Tyson Kidd has not been producing matches for weeks, and several stars claimed the reason why was actually tied to the women’s Royal Rumble match. It’s being said that Kidd is still technically with the company as a producer, but his absence was felt during the Royal Rumble.
According to the report those who participated in the women’s Royal Rumble said it was a mess, and that morale was already low. One talent noted that the match should have had more contracted talents than veterans, and another talent reportedly called the match “complete chaos.”
It’s also being reported that at least one women’s talent passed on the match completely after they found out that Tyson Kidd would not be producing. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
