They say that anything can happen when you watch Monday Night Raw, and this week fans witnessed the end of a tag team. Former Raw Tag Team Champions Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin were defeated by Lucha House Party, and after the match their team fell apart.
When the match was over Cedric Alexander got on the mic and started screaming at Shelton Benjamin. He told him that he was the weak link in The Hurt Business since day one. He asked Shelton Benjamin how long he’s been in WWE, and how many times he’s let opportunities slip through his fingers.
Alexander told Benjamin that he’s in the prime of his career, and that just like Shelton their team is done. Shelton Benjamin then looked on from ringside as Cedric angrily walked up the ramp.
Backstage Kayla Braxton interviewed Shelton Benjamin, and he said that the only reason Cedric was in The Hurt Business was because he saw something in Cedric when no one else did. Benjamin noted that he let Cedric Alexander say what he needed to say tonight, but if he continues down this road he’s going to turn into just another bright young star fizzling out.
