Triple H unfortunately suffered a cardiac event last year that led to him having to undergo emergency surgery, and following the surgery there was talk that his in-ring career might be over.
Today The Game confirmed that he is indeed done during an interview with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith when he said, “For me, as far as in-ring, which I get a lot, I’m done. I won’t – I would never wrestle again. First, I have a defibrillator in my chest. Which, it’s probably not a good idea for me to get zapped on live TV.”
Triple H was lucky to have a long career inside the squared circle, and he got to face off against some of the biggest names in the business over the last few decades. It’s safe to say that Triple H has also influenced a number of talents behind the scenes as well, and you can check out some of the reactions to his retirement below.
