This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was the first episode with Paul Heyman serving as Executive Director, and it certainly got a lot of people talking.
The night kicked off with a Falls Count Anywhere Match that ended with Braun Strowman driving Bobby Lashley through the LED board at the top of the ramp, followed by some dramatic explosions.
Strowman and Lashley both received medical attention and WWE has been selling the seriousness of the situation by saying Braun had a ruptured spleen, then WWE later posted an update saying the Monster Among Men may have suffered a separated pelvis.
Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the angle wasn’t done to cover for a legitimate injury, so Braun Strowman probably won’t be out for long, but there’s speculation that Strowman and Lashley could be off TV for a little while to sell the opening segment of Raw.
