There have been some interesting stables featured on WWE programming over the last few years and The Hurt Business was one of the most talked about groups in some time. In recent months MVP has been trying to reunite The Hurt Business, but there seems to be a lack of interest from Bobby Lashley, Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. Right now MVP is focused on Omos and his big WrestleMania match with Brock Lesnar. However it seems that the former United States Champion has his sights set on some other talent as well.
Following Raw this week MVP took to Instagram to seemingly tease the formation of a new stable when he posted a photo of himself with Omos, The Street Profits and Carmelo Hayes along with a caption saying, “Backstage in Boston talking to some people…” It’s not clear at this point if anything will come of the tease, or if MVP is looking to form a new version of The Hurt Business or a new stable altogether.
Currently Carmelo Hayes is still part of the NXT roster, but it’s been rumored that he’s being considered for a call up. However, a call up likely wouldn’t happen until next month as Hayes is seemingly being positioned to challenge Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship at NXT Stand & Deliver.
Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
