This week’s episode of WWE Monday Night Raw was historic, as it was the first time that the show aired live on Christmas. The show featured some big moments such as the return of John Cena, and Jason Jordan and Seth Rollins winning the Raw Tag Team Titles.
Hideo Itami was recently called up from NXT to the WWE main roster, and he’s been wrestling as part of the cruiserweight division. Monday night on Raw he faced Brian Kendrick, and he put Kendrick away with a brutal GTS.
After taking the GTS, Kendrick looked like he was in rough shape, and PWInsider is reporting that Brian Kendrick was taken to the hospital after Raw this week in Chicago. Kendrick was checked for a potential injury, but there’s no word on the diagnosis.
Hideo Itami put the WWE cruiserweight division on notice last week when he joined the main roster and teamed up with Finn Balor.
With the 205 Live brand set to hold its first live events in January, it looks like we’ll be seeing more from the cruiserweight division on Raw in the weeks to come. Hopefully Brian Kendrick will be able to participate. Stay tuned for updates on his status.
