The road to WrestleMania has been full of twists and turns and a few weeks ago one of WWE’s longest running groups went through a major change when Finn Balor was kicked out of The Judgment Day. Balor has not appeared on Monday Night Raw since the March 9 episode, but he made his return during this week’s show.
Raw aired live from the TD Garden in Boston, MA and Dominik Mysterio faced off against Penta in a singles match. As Dominik was making his entrance Liv Morgan was by his side and Stephanie Vaquer appeared out of nowhere. Vaquer attacked Morgan and the two stars brawled into the backstage area as WWE officials pulled them apart while the show went to a commercial break.
As Alicia Taylor started the ring introductions Dominik Mysterio attacked Penta, so the referee rang the bell. Near the end of the match Dominik connected with the 619 then went to the top rope for a splash, but he got distracted as Finn Balor’s music hit.
JD McDonagh ran toward Balor and Balor took him out. Dominik then jumped off the top rope onto Penta and Penta rolled him up to retain the title as Finn approached the ring.
Finn got in the ring and grabbed Dominik’s leg as he was trying to leave. Balor connected with a Sling Blade then went for the Coup De Grace, but JD pulled Dominik out of the ring. Balor jumped over the top rope and took them both out then threw Dom back in the ring. JD tried to attack Balor as Dominik left through the crowd. Finn managed to connect with a Coup De Grace on McDonagh as Dominik looked on.
